Angry netizens slams Philippine Daily Inquirer for spreading fake photos about Marawi incident

Wednesday, around 11:50pm, the Philippine Daily Inquirer shared photos on their Facebook page about the current situation in Marawi City.
The photos showed burnt cars and a school building.

However, netizen Loel RT was quick enough to notice that the photos from PDI were not in Marawi.
"Oh man..don't fool us. Google search by image will tell the truth. The result is cotabato bombing 2013," Loel commented.
Many netizens also reacted the same and said that the photos published by PDI were from Cotabato bombing last 2013.
John Dee wrote: "Please stop spreading nonsense post like this. This is not the actual photo of what happen in Marawi City right now. This photo taken years ago."
Lucas Sarangani said: "I think this photo is not in marawi city."
Roy Alexis Bico said: "sa cotabato ito hindi sa marawi."
Sarah Jane S. Daud: "Don't spread false pictures pls."
On the other hand, one netizen said the third photo showing a burnt school building was real.
Mamad Alonto said: "this is the only true picture of what happened last night."
