BREAKING: Leni Robredo Wala pang opisyal na papel sa patuloy na ASEAN Summit

MANILA, Philippines - VP Leni Robredo has no official role in the ongoing 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations ASEAN Summit.
It is Finance Sec. Carlos Dominguez lll who welcomed Brunei’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah when he arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday night. They were expected to be welcomed by the Vice President traditionally.
Yesterday, Robredo was in Cabanatuan City Nueva Ecija in the community of indigenous people.
Also expected at the event are former president and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
Robredo was also not invited to the gala dinner to be hosted by President Duterte at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Pasay City tomorrow.
Some 800 guests, including 10 ASEAN leaders, their spouses and delegations, as well as top Filipino officials are expected to attend the dinner.
The regional leaders and their spouses will wear creations inspired by Mindanao, the President’s home region, according to Malacañang.
Last month, Duterte invited Robredo and her children to have dinner with his family, but there is still no schedule for the dinner yet. The country’s top two leaders are both facing impeachment threats.
Robredo had repeatedly denied having a hand in the impeachment complaint filed by Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano against Duterte.
Duterte, on the other hand, has urged his allies in the House to “stop” the impeachment attempts against Robredo.
