88 Year Old Na Lola Sinampal at Pinalo Ng Isang Nurse Goes Viral
As responsible adults it is our duty to take care of our elderly parents because they cared for us when we were young. If we are unable to do so we should ask other relatives for help or send them to a home for the aged facility that will give them the best care possible. But apparently, sending them to a care home does not guarantee that they will be cared for properly. In fact, recently an 88-year-old woman suffered abuse in the hands of those who are supposed to take care of her – the home for the aged staff.
In the shocking footage taken by a hidden camera, Maria Tapia was seen being tied to a pole by two nurses.
The helpless elder was heard asking. “Why are you tying me up?”
One of the nurses cruelly slapped her and replied, “Are you going to shut up? Or else I won’t tie you, I’ll hang you.”
This alarming incident happened in Anos Dorados, which translates to Golden Years, a nursing home facility in Santiago, Chile. The Daily Star reports that authorities have responded to the video that has gone viral with over 4 million views and said that the care home could be closed down.
Mayor Christian Vittori went to the facility and found out that they don’t have the proper documents to have a business permit to operate.
Maria has been transferred to a hospital and is now being cared for by her daughters.
The poor elderly woman can be heard screaming and pleading for the nurses to stop abusing her in the rest of the footage. Watch it below.
