Do you agree with Duterte that the Philippines should be neutral in times of war? ~Share

The world is full of uncertainty, there are accusations of provocations on both sides and a third world war can happen any time.

If there is American military presence in the Philippines, we will surely be a target of a nuclear bomb. But the problem is that a war between the US versus China and Russia isn’t even our war so therefore if we get bombed, we will die for a war that isn’t even our fight.
The US mutual defense treaty is a one sided treaty because it defends the US more than it defends us. Think about it, China has practically invaded us by occupying the shoals but the US did not do anything.

Right now, there is tension between Russia and the US/Nato. NATO is flexing its muscles and they want the Russians to notice. NATO is moving 1,200 U.S. troops and 300 vehicles from Germany to the Baltics.

According to an American soldier being interviewed, the United States of America hasn’t done this kind of military movement since World War 2.

Imagine, an entire regiment rolling into Estonia.
Russia accuses NATO of provocation but NATO says it is responding to aggressive Russian actions in Ukraine, Georgia, and Syria.

According to an unidentified American soldier, the mission is meant to reassure the NATO Allies of its military commitment. NATO will have 10,000 troops from 13 countries in the Baltic States for drills on land, sea, and air.
The NATO alliance will bolster its troops on the Russian border.

Rodrigo “Rody” Roa Duterte, known as Digong, many did not know that he is a lawyer and politician of Visayan descent who is the current President-elect of the Philippines after topping the official Congressional canvass for the 2016 election.

Rodrigo “Rody” Roa Duterte (born March 28, 1945), also known by the nickname Digong, is a Filipino lawyer and politician of Visayan descent and is the President-elect of the Philippines, topping the official Congressional canvass for the 2016 election. He will be the first Mindanaoan president of the country.

Duterte is among the longest-serving mayors in the Philippines and has been Mayor of Davao City, a highly urbanized city on Mindanao island, for seven terms, totalling more than 22 years. He has also served as vice-mayor and as congressman for the city.

Nicknamed “The Punisher”, vigilante groups tied to Duterte are thought to be responsible for the executions of drug traffickers, criminals, gang members and other lawless elements. Over a period of 20 years, he turned Davao City from the “murder capital of the Philippines” to what tourism organisations now describe as “the most peaceful city in southeast Asia,”

On thursday, a congressman from Negros Occidental told local radio station DYLR Bacolod, that one reason why he surrendered from the party is the "lavish spending of people's money".

"Our local politicians who needed funds for their campaign were left behind because the party had prioritized Mar and Leni. The overspending on useless celebrity endorsements is just unacceptable", the solon said.

Mar Roxas said celebrities who endorsed him are not paid and they are doing it willfully, but veteran showbiz talkshow host and reporter Cristy Fermin rebutted the claim, saying celebrities are paid as much as 20 million.
Fermin refers to Kathryn Bernardo as an example, who allegedly got 20 million - a move that allegedly angered INC that prompted her expulsion from the powerful religious group.
Roxas celebrity endorsers includes mainly from ABS-CBN talents headed by Kris Aquino, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Karla Abellana and Ruffa Mae Quinto among others.

We had no problem helping Mar. The issue is, he is spending people's money that was intended for Yolanda victims, and we, here in Visayas can't simply endure", the congressman said.

BREAKING NEWS: Dinky Soliman Slams DSWD Over Repacking of Relief Goods for Typhoon Lawin Victims

It appears that former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Dinky Soliman is not happy with the praises being received by her successor, Judy Taguiwalo. This is after the sitting DWSD secretary has shown photos in social media how relief goods for victims of Super Typhoon ‘Lawin’ in Cagayan province are being packed.

A week before Super Typhoon ‘Lawin’ made a landfall in PeƱablanca, Cagayan last Wednesday, October 20, the DWSD has been busy coordinating with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and other government agencies for the preparation, to ensure that proper assistance will be given to the victims.

Right after Lawin left the PAR (Philippine area of responsibility) leaving 14 people dead and has damaged thousands of hectares of rice fields, DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo has been personally attending to the giving of relief goods to the affected areas. And contrary to the rumors, she was not among the cabinet members who joined President Duterte’s visit to China.
As a proof, photos of Secretary Taguiwalo talking to people and distributing relief goods were shared on her official Facebook page.

Also included are photos of relief goods that are properly stacked inside a warehouse. The boxes can also be seen labeled ‘DWSD’, and do not mention the name of the DWSD secretary or any politician whatsoever.

As a result, tons of netizens praised the effort of Taguiwalo, and could not help but compare the current DSWD to the time when Dinky Soliman was still the secretary. Based on earlier reports and complain on social media during the past administration, tons of relief goods for Yolanda victims were not distributed, and even ended up wasted in dump sites.

However, Dinky Soliman insisted that the present DWSD should not take credit for the orderly packed relief goods. In a statement, she said that a modernized repacking system of relief goods has been established back in September 2015. This includes setting up of conveyors, case erectors a pallet racking system, as well as rice bagging machines.

BREAKING Andanar Sa Mga Nais Pabagsakin Si Duterte: Hindi Kayo Magtatagumpay

GOOD NEWS: Emergency aid released P 5,000 for each poor family

Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo ordered the release of P5,000 in emergency shelter assistance (ESA) to each poor family affected by Supertyphoon “Lawin” (international name: Haima) in northern Luzon.

In a memorandum circular she issued on Saturday, Taguiwalo directed field offices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to hand out a uniform amount of ESA for the time being. The balance will be released after the local governments and the DSWD field offices have validated the count of damaged houses.

The DSWD is supposed to give out an ESA amounting to  P30,000 each to families whose homes were destroyed by a disaster and P10,000 to those whose homes were damaged.

ESA funds will be ready to be distributed “in a month,” Taguiwalo said. The DSWD will also provide cash for work for affected families.

Taguiwalo asked the help of local government officials in Cagayan Valley, especially Cagayan and Isabela provinces that were directly hit by the typhoon, in determining the poorest of the poor who were most severely affected.

She said the DSWD wanted to prevent another debacle, as thousands of affected families are still waiting for their ESA three years after Yolanda struck the Visayas. [SOURCE]

Famous DLSU professor: Utang na loob, China and Russia are no longer communists

De La Salle University's prominent Political Science professor Antonio Contreras lashed on the people giving comments about China and Russia being communists, after President Rodrigo Duterte has pledged allegiance to China and cut ties with the United States.

"Utang na loob matagal na pong hindi komunista and China. Maging ang Russia. Ibinaon na po ang Cold War. Tapos na po ang panahon ng Huk." he said.

The Cold War occured after World War II when militiray tensions formed between the WesternBloc headed by US and its NATO allies, and the Eastern Bloc comprised of the Soviet Union and its allies.

Contreras claimed that China is now a capitalist.

He said it has long stopped being a communistic nation.

He asked the people to stop suggesting that an alliance with China would make the country a communistic one.

"Lipas na po ang kaisipan ito. Laos na" he said.

"At huwag nang mag-iisip na ang vetsin ay dinurog na buto ng Intsik ha. Di na yan uso." he added.

Nothing is Unacceptable

Regardless of what happens in life, if it’s not accepted as it is it will cause suffering. Even if what’s occurring initially causes suffering, the suffering will deepen if it’s unaccepted.

Everything has its place in life regardless it’s considered right, wrong, liked or disliked and this is because it’s what’s there, so to say this shouldn’t be happening leads to suffering because the moment isn’t accepted as it is. But this isn’t to say everything that happens is suppose to happen, but what does happens is what’s there and there’s no changing it. The results of what happens can be changed, but not the initial results, that is unless one is coming from a different place than what was previously known. This may change the initial results, but they are still the results of what’s occurring now. So much energy is wasted on not accepting what has occurred, and why it’s wasted energy is because the unchangeable is trying to be changed.

When you get to a place where something labeled good, bad, or indifferent is accepted, in this place is one’s freedom. Nothing should be unaccepted, I know this is difficult to imagine and this isn’t to say not take action to change things, but what has occurred still has be accepted so the action to change purely comes from love and compassion and not from the ego. Even someone who is totally unconscious and causes much harm to others has to be accepted because it’s the conditioning in place that makes one do what they do; we are still accountable for our actions. This you do for yourself because to not accept is to suffer. Use this example; If you hit a slice in golf, disliking that you hit a slice doesn’t change that fact, accept it, learn from it, move on and just maybe your next tee shot won’t be a slice, but even if it is, accept it and move on. Nothing is unacceptable unless it’s made so by you.

BREAKING NEWS: United States wants bilateral visa policy with Asia after Duterte's announcement

WASHINGTON — The secretary of the United States Department of State, John Kerry has said that the United States would consider a bilateral visa policy with Asia.
John Kerry’s comment comes after President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday slammed the United States for its restrictive visa policy for Filipinos and why visa policies are not bilateral.

Speaking from a press briefing in Washington, the U.S Department of State secretary said the U.S had earlier on considered a bilateral visa agreements with Asia to promote the country’s tourism, hence tourist receipts and arrivals.
“We are almost done putting measures in place to ensure that we don’t enter into agreements that would ruin our immigration policies. We have created a system to ensure visitors do not do contrary to what their visas allow them to” he added.
He however did not mention when the U.S would be entering into such bilateral agreement.
Speaking to the Filipino community in Beijing, Mr. Duterte spoke about his effort to get a visa to visit his girlfriend in the United States when he was in college.
He said the US consul asked him: What if you decide to marry and stay there?

“[I said] Mr. Consul, even if you offer me free missiles for a lifetime and even if you offer me $10,000, I’ll still return to my country and be a Filipino,” he said, drawing applause from his audience.
“But the Americans can enter the Philippines anytime without visa. Why? Why don’t we make it reciprocal?” he said.

BREAKING: Visa Requirement Sa Mga Kano, Nais Ipatupad Ng Pangulong Duterte

Philippines can stand without foreign aid because of sufficient funds, no corruption— DSWD

Netizens lauded DSWD for responding fast to the affected families of Typhoon Lawin particularly in North Luzon.

Sec. Tuguiwalo explained that foreign aid is not necessary because of sufficient funds. There is no corruption in the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

LGU, members of private sector, and volunteers joined forces to help the victims of Typhoon Lawin without seeking help in other countries.

DSWD also said that Filipinos must not beg to other countries because we can stand on our own feet.

#KayaNgPilipinas"

President Duterte and DSWD Judy Taguiwalo visited affected areas of Typhoon Lawin in North Luzon and personally gave the aid to the affected families.

Singapore’s biggest newspaper, the Straits Times has taken notice of PH President and his loyal supporters!

President Rodrigo Duterte’s vaunted social media machine has achieved such a reputation that even Singapore’s biggest newspaper, the Straits Times, has taken notice.

In an opinion piece over the weekend, Straits Times Global Affairs associate editor Ravi Velloor nailed it on the head how die-hard Duterte supporters have successfully changed the dynamics of criticizing the president.

“Criticism is met with abuse. An army of online warriors, some of whom are perhaps employed in the booming outsourcing industry, seem to be readily on hand to troll presidential critics, putting a fright into even seasoned commentators,” it read.

Velloor was writing in the context of the Duterte administration’s bloody anti-illegal drug war, which in the past three months has claimed 1,840 lives.

“People with no links to the drug trade, either as consumers or suppliers, have been assassinated in the process, perhaps to settle private vendettas,” the opinion piece noted.

The write up had more sharp things to say about Duterte though, and the current state of affairs in the Philippines in general.

“The Duterte-ordered extrajudicial killings, and his gyrations on the maritime dispute with China, have raised a stench for the Philippines that is far more perverse than the haze that used to spread out from Indonesia. If it goes on for too long, it could potentially be a bone in ASEAN’s throat,” it said.
It also called the comparisons between Duterte and revered late Singaporean leader and founder Lee Kuan Yew as “laughably inappropriate”.

Pimentel supports Duterte's independent foreign policy

Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III yesterday tells that he supports the independent foreign policy of President Duterte.

Pimentel defends Duterte's stand over his late claims on managing and removing himself from the United States and other Western nations.

“It’s very good that for the first time, we have a president who is now emphasizing that concept in our Constitution, that we must pursue an independent foreign policy,” Pimentel said.

‘’There is no question – and I support that proposition that we should have an independent foreign policy- but, to my mind, we can pursue that without terminating our relationship with our ally (for the past more than 100 years).’’ he added.

US Likely to Help LP Impeach President Duterte Amid China Visit, Political Analyst Warns

President Rodrigo Duterte publicly announced this Thursday, October 20 that he will separate from the US. He made the strong announcement during his third day of visit in China. And because of this, US wants him to elaborate his statement further. But more that, America is set to make some drastic moves to win back the Philippines from China.

As local news have reported, President Duterte brought home a total of $24 billion of investment and loans from his 4-day visit to China. From this amount, $5.5-billion will be for transportation and infrastructure, $1 billion is set for a hydroelectric power plant, $700 million will for a steel plant, and the rest for a port development project in Davao City.

The meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Duterte also resulted to several agreements that China and Philippines will benefit from. And although the US government has said that its relationship with the Philippines remains intact, it cannot be denied that their ego was hurt, and they were not prepared for such scenarios.

According to UP Diliman professor and political analyst Lauro dela Cuesta, US will never give up Philippines as one of their allies, no matter what President Duterte has said against them. So to avoid further damage, he said that US has two options – to replicate China’s offers to the Philippines, or to get rid of President Duterte as soon as possible.

“Take note that the first option is too risky, and is not a guarantee that President Duterte will change his views on US. It therefore follows that the second option is a better idea, and it’s feasible. The new US government, no matter who will win, can easily support the political party that wants Duterte out, and that’s LP (Liberal Party).” Dela Cuesta told TN.

“Yes, I’m talking about the rumored plan to impeach President Duterte, so that VP Robredo will be the new president. So far, the only anti-Duterte senator who has the guts to trigger this is Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. Remember, he filed a plunder case against Duterte. And yes, this threat is ‘Suntok Sa Buwan’, but should not to be taken lightly.” He added.

Losing is Winning

Don’t allow anyone to take you from your place of peace. Let them think they’ve gotten the better of you and won, as egos go this satisfaction will be short lived before needing to win again, but a solid foundation of peace can last a lifetime.

We as humans are all created equal, it’s not that some have weaker minds than others, but some are more aware of themselves and this makes it seem that some have strengths that others don’t possess. The more unaware one is of themselves, the more one will be dragged around by the occurrences that happen in life. This awareness is what one awakens to, not so much the great secrets of the Universe, but more so what pulls one from their place of peace. I would say in my own case one area where I’ve become more aware is in not allowing other people’s actions to pull me from my place of peace. At times my initial reaction is to get annoyed, but it’s usually realized very quickly that most people know not what they do so to allow their actions to control me is on me. Because all humans come into the world basically the same (unconditioned) it’s the level of conditioning that makes one appear weak or strong, but one is just more aware of their conditioning than another person.

Let the other person think they’ve won, that they’ve gotten the better of you, except to the ego it means nothing; this is how unconscious energy is squashed. This doesn’t change the other person, but it does change you. It stops all the stories associated with the situation which festers as unconsciousness; I’m going to say this to them, or they are wrong, or don’t they know who I am, this is all the nonsense of the Conditioned Mind (ego) and it’s energy that nothing good comes from. So as I said, let the other person think they’ve won, but you will know in your heart who the true winner is because by remaining in your place of peace and not giving in to the Conditioned Mind nonsense, form is not in control. After all one can only be taken from their place of peace when it’s allowed and it only occurs when the ego is in control.
